Dairy Farm

Cutie Pie and I went on a fun little tour of a local dairy farm. (This was back when the older girls were still in school and prior to all the major flooding around the Nashville area.)

Here is Cutie Pie admiring the cows...

Taking a little rest on the saddle...

She absolutely LOVED feeding the cows. I thought it would scare her how they come right up and eat from your hand but she couldn't get enough. Cutie Pie talked about feeding the cows days later!
Here is Emma, their 12 year old cow. They say her age is a testament to how well they treat their animals. The lady told us the farm has been in her family for 4 generations and they were one of the first farms in Tennessee to be certified organic. The kids all loved petting Emma.

As a funny little side note (more for my memory than your info): we rode to the farm with our friend (and neighbor) who has a DVD player in her car. Cutie Pie and her little friend G were watching a movie when what to my wondering ears should I hear? Yes- Cutie Pie got car sick! It was disgusting to say the least. I don't handle vomit very well. Even worse it got all over our friends' car seat. Luckily I had a spare change of clothes for Cutie Pie and we pulled over and got cleaned up as best we could. I kept apologizing and luckily my friend thought the whole thing was pretty funny and we had a good little laugh about it! Always an adventure!
