Cute girls

Here are our 3 cuties with their Valentine gifts...new Webkinz! (I bought these almost a year ago while we were in TX because they had such a great sale, and I LOVE to buy things on sale). Popcorn got the Love Frog (named Lovey) who is a good friend for her original Frog (named Froggie), Cutie Pie got the Pink Poodle (her first Webkinz), and Sweetie got the Lamb (I actually had her pick out her own).

Here they are showing off their balloon creations from Chick-fil-A. Popcorn now has swimming lessons on Tues. and Thurs. nights and with all the various church activities we have on Tues. nights we've become rather busy. We didn't have time to go home and eat before we had to be at church so we stopped for dinner. There was a balloon artist making all sorts of fun things and Sweetie got a horse while Popcorn and Cutie Pie got princess wands. How fun!

Olympics

A funny conversation about the Olympics...

Popcorn: What are you watching?

Ladd: Snowboarding. Mom and I used to snowboard when we lived in Washington. (surprised look on Popcorn's face) It's called the Olympics where people from all over the world come together to compete.

Popcorn: Why is it called 'Old'-lympics?

Ladd: (laughs) It's not old, they're new games.

Popcorn: So it's the 'New' lympics?

Ladd: No, it's the Olympics- nothing new or old about it.

Popcorn: Oh, so you're watching the 'Old'-lympics.

Oh, never mind!

Snow angel

Snow- for real this time!

We got a few inches of snow last week! School was cancelled last Friday (thanks to the forecast of snow...again) but it started to accumulate and the roads got slushy around noon.

Here are Sweetie and Popcorn with their snow girl, named Kayla. Popcorn loves the name Kayla and also has a doll named Kayla. She was telling me something about snow girl Kayla but I thought she was talking about doll Kayla- anyway it was funny. We finally got some good use out of our snowman kits, a neighbor in PA gave those to us and after lugging them around we finally had enough snow to use them!

After the snow on Friday it started to rain. It was still very cold outside so all the rain turned into a nice crust of ice. We all got bundled up and were ready to have fun in the snow only to find everything was hard and crunchy. Cutie Pie didn't even make footprints, she just skimmed across the top!

Even the ice can't put a damper on Popcorn's spirits...

Here's a picture of the snow from our back deck looking out to the street. It got a little blurry; I changed the camera batteries and ever since the camera has been acting strange.

The snow girl was actually made on Sunday when the sun came out and the snow turned into real snow (church was cancelled, the roads all turned into a big sheet of ice too). They also got Mon. and Tues. off from school as well. I think they've only been to school 1 full week since Christmas break, between the snow/ice days and holidays they've had a lot of time off!

Tooth #2

Popcorn lost another tooth! Last Thursday she came home with this certificate and her tooth in a little bag.

She told me that she was wiggling her tooth during math class and gave it a little tug and out if came! Her teacher told me she was VERY excited to have pulled it out herself. This kid really knows how to pop out teeth, in 2 weeks she lost 2 teeth! Here's the big hole in her mouth...

Unfortunately the tooth fairy forgot to come last Thursday night (we blamed it on the snow storm, pics to come) but she remembered the next night!
